First thing first.
There is a purpose for the old school look and feel of this message board. The colors where chosen to be less harmful to your eyes. There are no notifications except on the actual boards to slow down the pace of conversation. This is so that you never feel like you are being forced or tricked into visiting the way social media does with their bells and whistles. Finally, all ip addresses are masked for anonimity.

This is where you can get social with me, goodTimes, outside of mainstream networks. The information you add to this account is my way of remembering your birthday, our memories and all the other important details that are no longer available to me since I left the cesspool of garbage created by the Zucks. Also, in order to keep spam and bots under control, I have removed privileges like private messaging. The way to earn those is by leveling up, and one way to level up is participation. So don't be shy, start a thread, comment on a topic or become part of a project in the_garage or the_lab or just lurk in the background. No matter what, thank you for choosing to be a part of this.

Creating and managing your profile.
Although the accounts are simple, they can still be customized. Feel free to fill in any amount of details you want about yourself.

On the top right you will see a drop down menu. There you will find access to your control panel and your profile.


Select the link for profile.


Fill out whatever information you feel comfortable with, or remain anonymous if you'd like...

After that you will see the actual forums. These are only available to members, and the secrets are revealed as users reach higher levels. For now, lets look at the_gallery as an example.



The gallery is where I collect art. Stuff I think is awesome from the internet, the amazing stuff my incredibly talented friends produce, and even my own stuff.

Each forum functions as if I had built the perfect secret base on the internet. One with unlimited space. For now we will start with the list you see right above (the_garage, the_lab, etc...). However, expect the site will change organically, with new rooms being created as needed.

All right, we have made it this far and nothing has blown up. That's great, but now what?

Well, technically, that is up to you. When I built soulFriend_Collective, the idea was to create a more relaxed, privacy minded and honest network with those that have touched my life in one way or another. I wanted to go the "Lo-Tek" route so that members never felt like they HAD to log in or check their notifications. This is where I launch my resistance against corporate social media. In here is a representation of my digital fortress of badassitude. Everyone in this forums has been personally invited by me so far, and as my guests, I want everyone to feel welcome.

With that said. These boards are my personal legacy in many ways. The project these boards are part of is my very own "Mona Lisa". These forums will organically change and grow with the user base. The network will grow intelligently as I learn more about Information Technology, Cyber-Security and my old nemesis Artificial Intelligence. Exploring is highly encouraged because there are also a bunch of Easter eggs and clues hidden through the site, there may or may not be treasure, and there are rumors of some sort of... "game"? being played in secret.

If the boards don't turn out to be your thing, I won't be upset, but know that the main purpose of soulFriend_Collective is pretty self explanatory.

I consider you a friend to my soul and as a thank you, I wanted you to have a place where you could always reach out privately and securely away from the Al Gore Rythms. In a digital realm where you can always expect honesty from me and where we can keep an archive of our best conversations, rants, ideas, hopes and work done to make this reality a little bit better.
